I advocate for climate, sustainability and environment, and give voice to the people and organisations who are coming together to take action…
As a child, in 1989, I sat on my Grandfather Bob Hawke's knee when he launched Australia’s first State of the Environment report. Thirty years ago he championed the importance of sustainability and tackling climate change, for the fairness to future generations. In doing so he elevated climate and sustainability to be of national importance.
Those actions and words took hold. His values have shaped mine, and I have spent my entire academic and professional life working in the field of environment, sustainability, climate change and social impact. In both my personal and professional life I have championed the environmental agenda, particularly on issues of social equality and fairness. My grandfather left the grandest of legacies, and on climate, I am flying the flag for the next generation.
Voice of Change
The podcast where we break down the big issues in climate and sustainability.
The majority of Australian’s believe in climate change and want to take action, however it is a wicked problem that is overly complicated, with the way forward not always clear. This podcast aims to empower through education and give voice to those who can lead the way. My grandfather was Bob Hawke, one of Australia’s great environmental leaders. He once told me he had a fundamental belief that ignorance is the enemy of good policy. Well, I believe that ignorance is also the enemy of good choices. In an era of distrust, skepticism and fake news, we bring you the experts and present you information, facts and interesting ideas. This is ‘Voice of Change’ and I am your host, Sophie Taylor-Price
